The Study Kit

This is not the guide, shortened. Nothing here is worth reading twice — everything here is worth filling in. Fourteen pages, printed once, written on for five weeks.

What it produces

Six instruments, in the order you use them. Each one takes ten minutes and leaves a written trace: a score, a date, a named gap. At the end you can point at the page and say what you could not do on the first day and can do now.

The five-week planOne objective and one checkpoint per week, with dates.
The four gesturesThe routine, in four lines.
The Hole MapThree to six named gaps, each with an action.
The 3 × 3 ladderNine rungs, from recall to transfer.
The 7-day protocolA week, ten minutes a day, dated.
The score sheetThree attempts, four criteria, one trend.
The error logCause → next action, without self-judgement.
The pocket cardThe page you reread in the bus.
What it does not do. It does not promise a grade and it does not replace your course material. It tells you what to study, in what order, and how to know you are done.
Print it. The pages are laid out for A4 and US Letter with wide margins and ruled boxes. Writing by hand is part of the instrument: on paper you cannot scroll past a gap.
Companion, not prerequisite. It works alone, but it is built to sit beside the guide: the guide explains a system, the kit is where that system becomes a filled page.
Two pages

The blanks you are meant to fill.

My three sentences, a page of the Study Kit
“My three sentences” — the gap written in your own words, the type of hole named, the repair chosen.
The seven-day protocol page of the Study Kit
The seven-day protocol — one action a night, ten minutes, and a box to date when it is done.
